On Friday, we only encountered 3 groups of day hikers en route to the pass, and 2 more groups of day hikers on the Ruby mountain trail. The descent down on Saturday (7/11) was another story- we encountered about 15-20 parties (about 3 on Ruby, the rest on 4th of July trail).
