It remained in operation as a motion picture theatre until 1964 when it closed. A little later it was reopened as the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre until the 1970’s when the Civic Theatre moved into the old Majestic Theatre. It is now home to the Hyatt Theatrical Lighting and Supply.Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is a great way to enjoy live theatre performances without traveling far from home or spending large amounts of money. The most cost effective plan is the Early Bird Flex Package where 6 or eight tickets are $25 per ticket. They can be used individually or grouped.
