P365 takedown lever stuck.

I couldn’t find it again but I did find this about another guy who had the same problem as me and ended up taking it to the gunsmith: “I got the P365 back from the gunsmith who said the trigger bar popped off the engagement to the sear or words to that effect.” I have owned this P320 for a few months now, and have disassembled, cleaned and reassembled it several times. This time after I was just about to reattach the lever, I noticed the spring was in the way in the lever-hole, so when I redisassembled it, the frame assembly (the trigger etc) came off with the slide, instead of staying with the grip frame.Easy fix. Snap the takedown lever into place, then push down on the tail end and it should snap into place at the beavertail. Insert pin. Make sure MS is disengaged, lift the slide release and make sure the takedown lever is open. If the slide simply refuses to budge forward, pull back the slide, lock it back, swing the take down lever back to home place, and cycle the slide a few times. Pulled the FCU out. Very easy process. Went to put it back together and noticed the takedown lever is locked in the 6 o'clock position. There is a little play in it from about 7 o'clock to 5 o'clock, but at 5 it wont budge back into the 3 o'clock position. Feels like it hits a wall. What can I do??

The flat faces forward in the closed position. The rear end of the guide rod rests on the takedown lever (or pin). This requires the guide rod to protrude at the muzzle by about 3/16" or the difference between flat up and flat forward. If the guide rod is stuck at the muzzle the slide will stop about where your pic shows.

Although for me the issue was the sear was blocking the take down lever from going back in. So you may have to push down on the top of it to move it out the way.
