First thing I did was move everything to Glacio as the consistent strong winds are PERFECT for pre-RTG power generation. The starting planet is almost as bad as Atrox for power generation. Plus, the research items on Glacio are pretty nuts, very plentiful, and there is plenty of iron and titanium, which quickly becomes invaluable. r/Astroneer.
Small battery silos like you have are good for activating gateways but medium power generation and storage is more efficient on resources. BUT if you have infinite lithium theoretically small batteries are more efficient on space (not resources). Medium power generation follows pretty much the same idea. Absolute biggest platform for automation is 4 large rovers connected to each other. It has autopull from one end to the other. So a gas collector on rover #1 can make hydrogen and the chem lab on rover #4 will autopull it when you goto make hydrazine, just as an example.

The vehicle does use more power than the tractor, but you are unlikely to have as many problems with this. The best setup to power this type of vehicle is to use an RTG. The shuttle actually will provide power all by itself, but it's only a tiny trickle so I don't recommend it. Since the atmo condenser takes 6 amps (RTG outputs 4 amps) to fully power, without an additional power source, it will take forever to fill even 1/5 of a gas canister.
