Davinci resolve cant add transition.
Can't add a transition between clips Wed Jun 07, 2017 1:01 am Hi I started a new project. Imported my clips then went edit sandpit the clips on the timeline. Most of the clips are full length. a few I made an in and out point. When I tried to add a cross dissolve it wouldn't let me. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks Allen Zagel Top Charles Bennett

Essentially, make sure the cut isn't happening on the very first/last frame of a clip. Scoot it over 10-15 frames to give the transition room to work. If there is enough extra length, it's probably a bug and I would try placing the transition where it's wanting it to go and then try changing where the transition starts up in the inspector.
nothing is wrong. you need to add an effect or a transition to the clip. the Inspector is where you change the settings for applied effects. Until you add an effect, there's nothing to display there. Davinci Resolve just hangs on rendering a dissolve. I just ran into a problem. I have one project with one timeline containing two clips. One HD clip from a EOS 70D and one HD clip from a EOS5DIV. One clip above the other split where I want to se the underlaying clip. Have as usual used a cross dissolve on all cuts on the top clip.2. Go to 30 seconds into the clip and click CTRL+B (Windows) to slice/split the clip into two. 3. Left of the cutpoint is Clip A and Right of the cutpoint is Clip B. 4.
