It allows to break chases and trick killers near windows / lockers. As for "solo gen rush", there is no such thing, the best gen rush you can do is to find a killer and force chaise with yourself, while team does gens. I am pretty much persistantly doing it for 2-3 gens during first chase using that build. #9.
There might be a higher percentage gen repair perk out there that can replace Deja Vu or Resilience, but at iridescent 1 killers sweat for 3 gen matches from the start of game. You can get it from Dwight. Once you get Dwight to level 35, you can use Prove Thy on any character.
