Basically on the map in between the legendary moose and elk a cougar spawns there all the time. After you kill and skin it with your bow. Simply travel west on the map to the loft and sleep there for the longest amount of time. When you wake up set your way point to that location and enjoy your kill. Rinse and repeat!
