It has a stiff chassis and aluminum suspension parts that make this a worthy platform. Any outback, from 2002 and up, with a 6 cylinder engine is a solid car. The 6 cylinders don't have the head gasket problems of the gen 3, and none of the piston oil consumption problems of the gen 4.
