The latest update is rolling out today (2023/03/06) for PlayStation and Xbox. It may take some time for it to appear across all regions, but you'll see the number 2107 in the bottom left of the main menu once your game is updated. Below is a list of the quality-of-life fixes and changes contained within this update.Tyres (or Tires) are an environmental object obtained by breaking Tyres. They cannot be broken down further or added to the player's inventory, and must be dragged with Mouse (right-click). They are used to make a tire raft base. Other than this, they have no other use. Categories.Wall. Walls are buildable structures in Stranded Deep. They can be made from Wood Sticks, Plank Scrap, Corrugated Scrap or Clay Bricks. They must be built while holding either a Crude Hammer or a Refined Hammer, like all the other structures.Trying to build a raft on a small island is a pain. Building a raft is high up on the priorities though. The liferaft is virtually useless. Slap together a basic 3x3 with a sail and rudder using anything you can salvage (the buoys are the handiest) . Further into the game make something fancy with a motor.

The Buoy Ball is an item in Stranded Deep. It is one of the three raft base materials, but it is also used to make the bobbers. Buoy balls are the only raft-base-ingredient that can be put in the player's Backpack. The World's border used to be represented using a line of Buoy Balls. I guess if you build corrugated ones they may contribute to the industrial design achievement, but little else. That being said, building anything from the buildings or furniture category has little value for gameplay.

There is a difference between bases on amount of draft (how far down in the water when floating). Barrels have the most draft. Sticks are considerably less, but come in as second most draft. Buoy Balls are less than sticks, but not a lot. Tyres practically, just skim the top of the water.
