Oct 25, 2022 · Meramec Caverns tour was great, but it's more than just beautiful caves in the summertime. This place is a resort in itself (during the summer, anyways). You can stay right on the river at the campground from April through October in your tent or RV for a reasonable cost. Meramec Caverns is a great cave to take a guided tour in and there are other outside things to do too. The gift shop is a little over priced on most things, but they have some unique merchandise items worth shopping for. As for the cave it was a cool (60 degrees) and a "cool" tour.
