Checking with my local John Deere mechanic, his advice is, if the snowblower has an aluminum gear case it uses grease, if it's cast iron it uses 85w oil. 1986 Ariens ST522, 5hp, 22". 1995 Murray Craftsman 10hp, 29" w. 12" impeller. A 1983 Real John Deere 10hp, 32" w. 12" impeller, 16" auger, 20" high front, cast iron gear box, chains.Reinstall the muffler shroud mounting bolts. Push the control rod back into the 4-way control rod receiver and line up the support bracket with the mounting holes. Reinstall the bolts in the red chute support bracket. Reinstall the belt cover using the mounting bolts. Reinstall the choke and throttle knobs.
