Oxygen not included cool steam vent tamer.

Ultimate Hydrogen Vent Tamer. I believe I have created a really, really good hydrogen vent setup. Here it is bois: Please note, the surrounding beds are absolutely vital for the efficiency of this design. Power: The wire going out of the transformer is excess power. Send this into a battery bank or something.

Oct 13, 2019 · They are a hydrogen vent tamer, hot polluted oxygen tamer, steam vent tamer, and oil fissure tamer. There are naturally other uses for the split turbine but these are some of the most obvious and relevant ones. All the vent tamers demonstrated except the hot polluted vent tamer are autonomous self-powered self-cooled units. It's a much better idea to use hot salt water geysers and Cool Steam Vents for oxygen generation as the resulting gases are both much less heat dense upon conversion and also therefore much easier to cool afterwards. You can still process the salt water if you wish to get rid of it at about 50 degrees Celsius and send it to desalination ...Water from steam vents. Playing the spaced out DLC and my main base is running very low on water. I have 2 cool steam vents, the only problem is that the heat will kill my crops. I have 2 ideas on how to deal with it: 1. Using a hydrogen vent I can power some Thermo aquatuners to cool the water. 2.For me, here's the cheapest tamer, just use polluted water, you have a lot of it in the slime biome then when it's hot give it to pincha. I request your help with deciding on a design for a cool steam vent taming. This vent is located just below space on my map. My cool steam vent. I need it for two things: Create steam for my first rocket(s). Use the exceed supply of water for my base, as I really tight on water. I found few cool designs to choose from:I tried experimenting in sandbox - chlorine gas doesn't seem to help with the germs, barely affects anything. Heating the water with a tepidizer to 75 or 80 kills all the germs very reliably, but I couldn't find a way to cool the water back down. I did try to sieve after the tepidizer, as it deletes a lot of heat.

For the record, cool steam vents are power positive without geotuners ( example 1, example 2 ). But yes, boosting the temperature will make them more power positive and simpler to use since you no longer have to heat the steam (example 1) or trick the turbine into eating "cold" steam (example 2).After looking around, I found two colonies with good examples of a Cool Steam Vent tamer with a high-output vent, meaning the Vent produces more than 4kg/sec during the eruption phase.

Features: Self-cooling. The Steam Turbine cools itself. It also cools the Hydrogen Generators, Batteries, Transformers and of course the hydrogen. For this vent the Steam Turbines only generates 120 W on average so requires only a fraction of even a Self-Cooled Steam Turbine (though even at this power level its still doing more cooling than an ...

DimaB77 • 2 yr. ago. In my last article (getting water), I studied the volume of each volcano's eruption. On average, a vent of hot steam erupts 2.2kg/sec of steam. Every turbine port absorbs 400gr/sec steam x 7 = 2.8kg/sec steam + 360kg what will fit in the room. That's a lot more than the volcano is erupting.Mar 1, 2021 · Oxygen Not Included > General Discussions > Topic Details. cswiger Mar 1, 2021 @ 10:26am. Cool Steam Vent tamer followup..... After looking around, I found two colonies with good examples of a Cool Steam Vent tamer with a high-output vent, meaning the Vent produces more than 4kg/sec during the eruption phase. For as long as you cool the produced gas from 150C to below 125C you should be fine. The best candidate for cooling liquid would be the water for electrolyzer - since it produces gases at 70C minimum, you can safely heat the water you feed it to the same 70C. Natural gas is easy to tame, never had a reason to cool it.

This looks like a classic FJ steam tamer- they’re my go-to for cool steam vents. I think he said the checkerboard pattern can work in the steam room, but I prefer a solid grid. I think the main issue is that you made your tempshift plate(s) out of sedimentary rock, which only has a specific heat capacity of 0.2 (DTU/g)/C; that’s in the low end for minerals. The video you watched might have been a normal steam vent, which is hotter (500ºc). Cool steam vents produce steam at 110ºc, which is really close to its condensation point (99.4ºc), so it turns into water really fast. You should use the cool steam vent in all machines/places that doesn't really care about input temperature but outputs hot stuff. Electrolyzer was already mentioned. Another good example is oil well. It is suggested to send hot water there as the building will always output oil at 90C.This is a self-powered late-game cool steam vent tamer. It's relatively easy to cool the resulting hot oxygen and oxygen from an electrolyzer is always at least 70C anyway. That potentially give you a neverending source of oxygen for your dupes. You could also potentially cool it and use it for other things, but using it hot like this is simpler, I think. #1.

Minimum average output of a cool steam geyser is 1kg/s. To cool that from 110C to 97C requires 54kDTU/s, or about 4.5 wheezworts. So this is barely sufficient if it's a minimum output geyser. If this manages to only cool to condensation point and no further then this could handle a 1.3kg/s geyser, but that's still below an average cool steam ...The self-cooled power positive cold steam vent tamer.Cold Steam Vent Tamer short: https://youtu.be/HE9VoS65iK8Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/LumaplaysSave...

There's always a nat gas geyser somewhere I believe, and it's way easier to tame. Check out “split steam turbine” if you want to cool hydrogen down below 125 so you don’t have to use steel. Gold amalgam pumps work in the split level design. Too much water. Steam turbine with 3x5 steam room 40-50kg steam.

Oxygen Not Included – Taming the Hydrogen Vent Guide (Easy Method) July 30, 2021 0. The purpose of this guide is to present a method to tame the Hydrogen Vent in a simple way that can be built with mid-game technologies and materials. Simplicity, reliability and low-cost are the focus of this design. Contents [ Hide]

500 °C. 932 °F. 5 kg. Hydrogen Vent Tamer. Hydrogen Vents provide Hydrogen and Heat, both primarily used for Power Generation, and fortunately, it is easy to tame the Vent. The first step to take, as with any Geyser, is to ensure that it does not reach its P MAX. That's point at which it over-pressurizes, and no longer yields any more Hydrogen. The liquid vent activates when the steam pressure goes below 1500, so when the steam vent is inactive there's still some steam for cooling. A couple issues: I had to "prime" the water cooling loop with hot water in order to heat the steam and activate the steam engine, and it might need to be primed again after the vent is dormant. No Space materials. Just 400Kg of steel. 10-15kg crude oil/petroleum. Output 2400kg/s of ~97C water during eruption which is enough to cover any Cool Steam Vent (on average they are produce 1000g/s-2000g/s). We use the idea that Steam Turbine start working when temperature on at least one input become above 125C.If there's no steam, no water will replenish the cooling loop. But the temp sensor is in the oil, not in the vacuum, so the aquatuner can continue running regardless of the chamber having steam or not. So if the aquatuner is running and no water is being added to the loop, but the cold sensor can eject water, you could drain the entire loop ... For a hot steam vent, I like the butterfly design. depending on the output, 1-2 turbines over the middle, and 2 side tanks each with 1 turbine. Put an aquatuner in one of the side tanks to cool the steam turbines. Pump everything to a vaccuum. Once you have cooling going, you want to have some cooling directly at the vent because otherwise it goes into overpressure and delivers less than the max. That cooling serves to condense the water.Assuming the steam is coming out at 500C, that’ll “burn” 375C as you feed the steam through.
