I request your help with deciding on a design for a cool steam vent taming. This vent is located just below space on my map. My cool steam vent. I need it for two things: Create steam for my first rocket(s). Use the exceed supply of water for my base, as I really tight on water. I found few cool designs to choose from:I tried experimenting in sandbox - chlorine gas doesn't seem to help with the germs, barely affects anything. Heating the water with a tepidizer to 75 or 80 kills all the germs very reliably, but I couldn't find a way to cool the water back down. I did try to sieve after the tepidizer, as it deletes a lot of heat.

The best candidate for cooling liquid would be the water for electrolyzer - since it produces gases at 70C minimum, you can safely heat the water you feed it to the same 70C. Natural gas is easy to tame, never had a reason to cool it.

It's relatively easy to cool the resulting hot oxygen and oxygen from an electrolyzer is always at least 70C anyway. That potentially give you a neverending source of oxygen for your dupes. You could also potentially cool it and use it for other things, but using it hot like this is simpler, I think. #1.

There's always a nat gas geyser somewhere I believe, and it's way easier to tame. Check out “split steam turbine” if you want to cool hydrogen down below 125 so you don’t have to use steel.
