If you want to play a particular scenario with no breaking bones, then bring up sandbox, go down to load saved settings and select your desired scenario. I believe slow healer doesn't actually change how long it takes to heal, it just increases the chance of injury being more severe. even with slow healer, most fractures should heal in a week or two. I was in the same position as OP with slow healer. It took about 4 to 5 weeks, splinted the entire time of course.
