Addy diamond bolts roughly match the dps of bowfa + full crystal on brutal black dragons. Diamond dragon bolts are only about 10% better than bowfa. So I guess it doesn't matter what you use all that much. I believe dhcb with wyvern shield or buckler with dragon bolts will out dps bowfa.
