Congrats on the 454 Alaskan. I have both the 44 and 454 Alaskan and enjoy each touch of the trigger on either. I also like the non fluted cylinder. As far as end shake, I've never noticed enough to check with a gauge. I also put the old style Lett grips on mine. I prefer the full size Letts but do shoot the 44 with the compact grips. Enjoy.
