For general use, whatever is fun. Archguns aren't as good as primaries because the mod support is shallow. Mausolon is currently the king for single-target DPS, and it performs quite well against groups.. Kuva Ayanga is better for mobbing thanks to its substantially larger AoE, but it suffers pretty hard against harder targets, whereas the Mausolon's alt fire absolutely decimates blobs of tanky enemies.
