There are farmable thralls not terribly far away, iron to the south (along the top of O9) and brimstone around the Sanctuary in the west. I've used this spot several times. On the other side of the island is C10/C11, which is where my current play on Siptah started out. This is a harder spot to start, as the resources aren't as easily reached.
In the ledges / rock face over the vault, are large yellowish mineral veins that are brimstone. I believe these are a new model for the isle expac, I hadn't seen them before but I hadn't played in a few months. There is also a healthy amount of gold, silver and black ice/ice and crystal nodes here. Downside, I've not found any coal nearby.
