Generally what you want for effective soloing is AOE damage, defenses, and some kind of self-heal or sustainability. Strimtom's is a solid first-life Rgr20 build from first-hand experience. (slightly modified mine to be fire/ice rather than just acid, but the major points are the same.) Haven't taken him up to 30. If you google or search the mother forums, there are a few good wolf builds - but get in quick before they get nerfed :D. If you want it simple, just go 20 druid, Horc STR ( u/strimtom build) / Aasimar WIS ( I think its called "pure wis doggo") Elf with DEX maxed works well too. Ranger gets a decent amount of skill points per lvl, so it will allow you to maintain those skills as you lvl so you can disable traps (and pick locks). That will make your play experience less painful as traps are a big part of DDO. Another build you could try is 18 Paladin / 2 Rogue.
