Taking ap pre calc in itself will make you stronger for calculus. It doesn’t necessarily help to study for pre calc it’s not worth it. If anything you can already start studying for calculus because the jump from algebra 2 to ap calc ab is not that big to be honest. I have many friends who skip pre calc straight to calc bc, or skipped calc ab.
