Even though the life steal nerf was huge and stuff berserker with 1000 crit damage and syphon IV can still heal a really good chunk of your health back I know you can do this in mage too but berserker (for me) does more damage so it's worth going berserker for this aspect. Again, if ur bers healer you’d be using baby yeti/ws/tiger/edrag, not whale or jelly. Same thing, giant is not the reforge you’d want to be using as a bers healer.
