It's specically stated that it's better if the Wizard gets pierce buffs. WoF increases DPS more than Intense Magic in that case (at least that's my guess). Idk either, I ain't a BTD6 expert so I don't know either. My guess is that if you were to add Alch buffs WoF's damage could just outshine bottom path.
