I have the 8.3 RnL and I plan to buy the 13". Compared to my 16" AR, the difference is noticeable. My AR will blow through a 1/4" of steel whereas my galil will dent it. That being said, I sbr'd my 8.3" galil and put the og stock on it. I can shoot it folded. Also, it will maneuver in a vehicle and fit in a backpack.

As a compromise, I grabbed one of the new Gen vortex 3x prisms, and it’s not bad but nothing spectacular. I have it on a QD ADM mount so I can easily swap between a dot and that. I think this really depends on use case. For all around a dot is hard to beat. I run rifle and 2gun with my ACE equipped with a T2 and have hit out to ~400 with it.

I put a binary trigger in my Galil ace gen 1, 7.62x39. It hung up on the bolt guides rails. Fitment was not an issue. I did have to polish up the guides a bit, and it works fine. Went to the range and had zero issues with cycling. it was super awesome having my Galil breathing fire and throwing lead down range. 10/10 I would highly recommend.
