Is it primarily because Stanford has a full array of non-medical sciences and UCSF doesn't? Is there something I've missed about Stanford? Stanford, to me, seems lopsided in favor of research over clinical medicine, while UCSF seems much more balanced without losing any of the research quality and opportunity.
