The Tamkus family name was found in the USA in 1920. In 1920 there were 2 Tamkus families living in New York. This was about 67% of all the recorded Tamkus's in USA. New York had the highest population of Tamkus families in 1920. Use census records and voter lists to see where families with the Tamkus surname lived.The rabbit is a mixture of different breeds, developed especially to be heat tolerant, among other things. They come out all different colors and are supposedly very hardy. The mix has now been recognized as a distinct breed, called TAMUK (Texas A&M University Kingsville). We’ll see how they do.
